Stopping fossil fuel burning, or technology alone, won't stop climate change. Managing the biological carbon cycle is going to be key. What will this mean for farms, ranches, forests, cities, and public land policy? Peter Donovan of the Soil Carbon Coalition will make a short presentation followed by facilitated discussion.
Free and open to the public. Stage One (north of Courthouse) on Main St. in Enterprise. Sponsored by the Wallowa County Peace and Justice network.

If you missed participating in April's collective inquiry on the soil carbon opportunity, you can join us for the second go-round. This is an online talking circle, focusing on core beliefs and behaviors, with a structured series of questions. Our second "session" will begin on May 19. You must be registered on this site (free and quick) to participate. You can expect to learn new information, be surprised at the depth of thinking and feeling on these subjects, and gain a new perspective on your own beliefs and behaviors. Previous participants thought the process was well worthwhile. Said one, "I feel the support of all these people working for real solutions. It's my light in the darkness."
More info here.
To receive email notifications for the second session, check the "May 2008 collective inquiry" box as you fill out registration info. If you are already registered, use this link to access your settings:
